Note #58: Merry Christmas (2010.12.25)

This is the eighth Christmas since I started writing here at Liminality. Four times I have written on Christmas eve, but I have not yet written on Christmas Day. So allow me to take the opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas. For those of you for whom it is still Christmas Eve, perhaps you would like to join the Ghost of Christmas Past and enjoy some Christmas poetry I posted two years ago.

I will make this very brief, as it is Christmas and there are things to be done and places to go, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still alive. I had not intended to let so much time pass since my last entry, although my brother has told me that he didn’t mind it being on the front page for so long. It was a hectic time, though, as the end of the year always is, and I simply never got around to writing. But now the semester is over, we are back from a brief trip to the Philippines, and I’m getting ready to switch into semester break mode—I’ll be going back to the Pomodoro system as I attempt to get things done.

There will hopefully be more here at Liminality as well. At the very least, there are one or two entries I would like to write to wrap up the semester, plus a long write-up of our trip to the Philippines. In the meantime, whether you celebrate the holiday or not, I hope that the Christmas season brings peace and joy to you and your loved ones.
