If today’s note is not the shortest I’ve ever written, then it will be one of the shortest. I really didn’t mean to leave things until the last minute like this, but I genuinely have not had any time lately. I still don’t really have any time—in a little over an hour, I’ll be getting on a bus to the airport. I have two conferences to attend in Europe, so that’s going to be our trip for the summer.
I’ve only managed to wrap everything up in the past couple of hours. But I have now finalized my grades and officially finished the semester. It was a busy semester, but a good one, and I enjoyed both of my classes. The graduate seminar—the first I’ve taught at Seoul National—was particularly rewarding, and I wish I had more time to write about it now. But I don’t. We’re just about packed, I think, but there are other things that need to be taken care of before we leave.
Considering how often I post these days, I could probably leave for a month and no one would ever notice that I was gone, but I did at least want to say a quick hello and goodbye. I’ll be back in mid-July, when I suspect I will have a little more free time and a lot to say.
