This is a male argiope that built its web across the upper end of the door into my parents-in-law’s greenhouse. Apparently these are very common spiders, because when I typed “spiders” into Google, a page popped up with a picture of this spider right on the front page. That’s the only reason I know this guy’s name—had it been any harder to find, I would have given up (like I did with the other spiders in this gallery).
