When I first saw this bug I named him the “dull bug,” as he is rather dull, especially when compared to some of the other arthropods I have in this gallery. Then I looked closer and decided to call him the “painter bug,” because it looks like he just got finished painting a house and has spots of paint on his dark work overalls.
