Translation Award Ceremony
My father-in-law proposed a toast, and we all lifted our glasses.
As a side note, ten years ago drinking wine in Korea was not nearly as widespread as it is now. Today, drinking wine is seen as an “classy” activity, while soju (cheap, traditional Korean booze) is struggling to cast off its lower-class image. I know that might seem like an odd comment here, but it just struck me as amusing to see everyone lifting glasses of wine for a toast.
