From Wellfleet we continued north, and out next stop was at Head of the Meadow Beach. There we would finally get to take a dip in the ocean. When we arrived, though, the wind was whipping along the beach, making our attempts to set up a flimsy beach umbrella futile. I had a sudden urge to not go in the water. I knew there would be plenty of opportunity for swimming when we stopped in Hawaii on the way back to Korea, and it seemed like swimming here would be more hassle than it was worth. So I stayed behind to (literally) hold down the fort and take photos. This one is of HJ wading out to a long sand bar and the actual ocean beyond that. The dark patch, she tells me, was seaweed.
