Thailand, Part 4: Chiang Mai

We spent one evening in Chiang Mai at a Khan Toke dinner. The food was pretty good, but there was more fried food than I would have expected. I found out that this was more typical of northern Thai cuisine, where it’s a bit cooler than central or southern Thailand. Hyun-jin and I are wearing our matching Chiang Mai “uniforms”—lightweight cotton clothes that we picked up at the Night Bazaar.
