Despite it being April, I wasn’t too surprised to see traces of snow on the side of the trail as we made our way up the mountain. For some reason, though, I didn’t expect it to get much worse. In retrospect, I was rather foolish to expect that the trail would be clear all the way to the top. After all, it had rained the previous day and the mountain peaks were white—what was rain on the flatlands was obviously going to be snow on the mountains. I just didn’t realize how much snow.
