There was a lot less snow on the ridge, but only because the wind blew it all away. There is no way to actually show wind in a photo, but this shot should give you an idea of how windy it was up there—so windy that the snow was blown sideways onto the posts. Not only was I glad we brought warm clothing, but I was glad that our windbreakers had hoods. My ears would have fallen off after about a minute in that wind.
