After we arrived back in Bangkok from our jaunt around Thailand we arranged to take a day trip to a nearby floating market and a crocodile and elephant zoo. We had been warned about Khao San Rd. tours, but we didn’t know of any other way to book a trip. This trip was the least enjoyable of all the tours we took while we were in Thailand, but it was not without merit. The guide was barely even worthy of the name, but we did get to see a floating market, which was interesting. We also saw a crocodile and elephant zoo, but it was apparently not the Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm we had hoped to visit.
I do not regret the trip, as we did have some fun, but I would not do it again, and I would certainly never again book a tour from Khao San Rd.
I didn’t really want to end this series on a sour note, but that’s life. The tour really wasn’t that bad, it just didn’t live up to some of the other really nice tours we went on. I still have plenty of great memories of our trip, and a few of those memories come from this tour, so I’m happy.
