Flowers (and Their Friends)
I noted in a previous picture of irises in bloom that they are called “brush flowers” (as in calligraphy brushes) in Korean. After seeing these two just before blooming, I’m wondering if this is how they got the name—they do indeed look like brushes dipped in ink.
