I was surprised to find that I didn’t have a single photo of this flower in this gallery. Maybe I thought it was too mundane. As you can see, the ring of mini-flowers “climbs” up the central mound, first opening on the bottom and then working its way up. They are popular with the honeybees, one of which is gathering pollen here (the yellow lump on its leg is pollen mixed with honey or nectar, and that part of the leg is called the pollen basket).
