The Mud Flats of Gungpyeong-ri
We pitched a rather festive parasol on the beach to guard us from the sun when we weren’t in the rapidly retreating water. When I returned from taking a few photos along the shoreline, I found my wife and sister-in-law having a snack—peanuts encased in a squid-flavored, crunchy shell. I know that’s going to sound a bit weird to anyone not used to Korean snacks, but they’re actually very good.
