Gyeongju
These are the stairs leading up to the main temple grounds. They have been blocked off at both the top and bottom, so you can no longer climb up them to enter the temple. The 33 steps were originally supposed to be symbolic of the ascent into heaven, but us mundane modern folk have to take the long way around.
