We picked up our rental car at the airport and drove to the town of Kihei on the west coast; we had reserved a condo at Kihei Kai Oceanfront Condos (the short green building in the center of the photo), at the very northern edge of town. The first thing we did after unpacking was to get changed and jump into the ocean. The weather wasn’t the best, as you can see from the windblown palms and the raindrops on the water, but that didn’t bother us too much.
