Hawaii, 2014

This was HJ’s choice, tuna poke (pronounced “po-kay”). It’s basically chunks of raw tuna marinated in various sauces with vinegared seawood on white rice, and it’s really good. Raw tuna is a thing of beauty on it’s own, but the sauces—such as soy sauce and wasabi—raise it to another level. Needless to say, HJ loved this.
