For three days and four nights in early autumn of 2005, my wife and I visited Jeju Island of the south coast of Korea. It was my first visit to the island, despite the fact that I had lived in Korea ten years at the time. More surprisingly, it was also my wife’s first visit, despite the fact that she’s lived here her whole life.
We had a good time, despite some clouds and a bit of rain. We got to play in the ocean and climb a volcano. We got to ride in a yellow submarine and see frighteningly talented Chinese acrobats do strange things with their bodies. In short, we crammed as much as possible into the brief time we had on the island. We’d definitely like to go back sometime in the future, but until then, enjoy these photographs.
