Jeju Island Trip: Fall 2005

Hyunjin waves from the balcony of the guest house, Sinjin Minbak, where we spent our third night. We were pretty happy with this place, as it only cost us 20,000 won for the night, and the room was decent (we had our own bathroom and shower—Korean-style, of course). There is also a supermarket right next door, which is convenient.

One of the best things about the place, though, is that they didn’t insist that we eat there. Many guest houses will give you cheap accommodations, but they insist that you eat their food. Not that it’s usually terribly expensive, but we’d rather try the local specialties, and I’ve never been impressed with the food at guest houses.

Since we had a good experience with this place, I have no problem doing a little advertising for them and including the sign. And just in case you can’t read the phone numbers and were wondering: Tel - (064) 738-7545, Cell - 011-690-7335.
