Seoul 2004 Luminarie
This is City Hall. I should note that last year at this time I wouldn’t have been able to take this picture. You can’t see it in this photo, but all the space in front of City Hall is now a wide lawn of grass. It used to be a mad vortex of traffic that was impossible to cross by foot (underground walkways allowed pedestrians to move around). The lawn is part of the mayor’s efforts to make Seoul a more beautiful (and pedestrian-friendly) city.
