Miami, 2016
I arrived in Miami on Monday afternoon, but it wasn’t until Tuesday that my sightseeing began in earnest. It began to rain pretty heavily while I was on the MetroMover to the bus terminal, but on the bus over to Miami Beach the rain began to let up. It was still sprinkling a little when I arrived, but it soon stopped. Perhaps it was that, combined with the fact that it was a weekday morning, but the beach was nearly deserted. There were people in the water, though, including this intrepid surfer who paddled out to catch waves and then surf them back in.
