This is the dock at the second island, and this alligator is called “Jumper.” When the water level is high, alligators can just climb right up onto the dock, but when the water is this low, they can only get up by jumping—something that Jumper is particularly skilled at doing. Being cold-blooded, she really likes sunning herself on the dock. I did not attempt to hold this alligator.
