New York, 2006

Inside the MOMA; I took about a half dozen photos of this Jackson Pollock work by placing my camera on a seat in front of it. You’re not supposed to use a flash in the museum, so I set it for a relatively long exposure and kept snapping pictures until I got one with no one in it. Later, when we were looking through the photos, both Hyunjin and I decided that the photo with no one in it was rather boring. We independently came to the conclusion that this one was the most interesting, maybe because it captures a little of the motion that Pollock was trying to capture in his art.
