I can’t remember the last time I visited New York and did not hit the Strand bookstore. It is one of my favorite places in the city, and I love spending hours there just browsing the shelves.
The store boasts “18 miles of books,” and it would take days to go through them all, so usually I just hit the social sciences section and the mythology and folklore section, and maybe check out some of the new lit as well. While going through the social sciences section I saw this sign on the shelves and thought it was clever and amusing.
