I saw this guy hanging out on the side of our house one day and rushed inside to get my camera. Even though my subject didn’t move that quickly, it was evening and the light was fading fast. There wasn’t enough light for a hand-held shot, but there was also no place to set up a tripod. So I held the camera fast against the wall, pointing down at the snail. Had I had enough light, I probably would have taken a straight-on shot, but in retrospect I’m glad I got this interesting angle.
