A Red Devil Story
This was the best shot I could get of the crowd, and should give some idea of the number of people there. I was still in the crowd, though, so there was a limit to how much I could capture. A few notes about this picture.... The fans in the front seemed to have an unnatural sixth sense that told them where the nearest camera was—I didn't notice the fan in the lower left corner until after the pictures were developed. The young, slightly threatening-looking men in the black suits are security guards. Fortunately, the crowd was pretty well behaved, and their primary function was to motion the crowd to sit back down. The structure visible in the upper right corner was a geodesic sphere resembling a football erected in the median area in the middle of the intersection.
