A Red Devil Story
This photograph was not taken at City Hall, but in Central Park in Bundang, a satellite city south of Seoul.
We were waiting for the Korea-Germany quarterfinal match (which turned out to be Korea's first loss of the tournament) to start, sitting on the grass amidst all the people. It was much more of a family atmosphere than City Hall—parents brought their children, and a lot of people had picnics. This was one little Red Devil belonging to the family in front of us. Like a true Red Devil, of course, she had an eye for the camera. We caught her here in the middle of a complex cheering routine that involved a lot of running around and babbling.
